Importing Word text into rows and columns

I want to copy some data from ms word into multiple cells of an Excel worksheet. If I just cut and paste the data simply goes into one cell. Not good. Additionally, I want the data to be copied into the worksheet as numeric format so I can do calculations on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Pualy, and welcome to the forum.

I haven't tried this myself, but perhaps this post will come close to what you need. It refers to RTF files, but you should be able to change RTF to DOC (hopefully!).
