    splitting and importing

Basically, I want to split a speadsheet in two (currently i'm doing it by copy and paste in a new sheet), then be able to import the data back into the original sheet overwriting the exisiting data. the less steps the better.

what's the best and safest way of doing this?

    TIA
    Dennis

    Sure,
here it is; The plan is to separate the CS Bus Date s/sheet to it’s own file, have it modified seperately and the re-import the data back into it as easy as possible.

    I've attached a sample.

    Thanks,

    How to copy a worksheet

I think you are trying to copy a worksheet into a new workbook (split it). If that is the case, right click on the worksheet name and choose Move or Copy, tick Create a Copy and also choose New Workbook from the To Book dropdown list. You can then modify it and copy it back into the existing workbook using the same process after you have deleted the original worksheet.
