graphing daily dataset with weekly dataset

I have lots of datasets that I need to graph as lines on a 2-axis graph. However, some datasets are daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual. In the past I would simply grind through the low-resolution dataset (say, weekly) and insert 6 rows then repeat over and over until I matched. However, these new datasets are huge, and that is simply not realistic. I either need a way to (1) graph datasets with different sample rates by referring to their dates and having Excel understand to match them OR (2) create a macro that inserts 6 rows and repeats over and over. I cannot figure out how to do either. Can anyone help? Chuck

    Hi,

    thwo things:

    1. Post a sample of your data in a workbook, so we can get a better idea of what you're trying to do.

    2. Have you tried the time scale axis option? A time scale axis does not need data for EVERY time unit. You can have gaps in between and still be able to graph them. See attached file for an example

    Teylen,

Thank you for your reply. Your #2 comment might work, but I went ahead and posted a sample to this reply just to make it clear. Please let me know what you think.
