Conflicting tables in the same row

    Good day everyone

So I've hunted on google for this problem but to no avail, I'm not sure because it's so small/frivolous and no one asks for it or what.

Anyway, I have a spreadsheet with multiple tables and for convenience I line up two tables in the same row for example

The problem is, if I use the autofilter feature on ONE table, like here, it messes up the table adjacent to it. Messes up meaning, I want both the tables to be independant of each other. Not that if I filter results in table 1, the number of rows table 1 displays will be the same number of rows table 2 is allowed to represent. See how when I click at the drop down, it says that all are selected, but all results are not displayed. I want all the rows to be visible for table 2, but not table 1

Is there a way to do this? I hope I made enough sense
    Thanks

You've already discovered the answer. Filtering works on entire rows, so your side-by side table layout will have to be abandoned for frequent filtering.

Put your tables above/below each other and use Split Windows to display them side-by-side on screen.

hey, I appreciate the quick reply

I did come across the split function and I thought it was what you say it is, but i couldn't and still can't get a table below to appear side-by-side no matter how I insert the split :x

I don't think so what you meant was possible

While split windows does work, it's still not possible to make two tables arranged vertically to appear horizontally

    nonetheless, thanks for the help

Open your sheet, then Press ALT-W-N to activate a second SEPARATE window for the sheet. You will now have two Windows named Book1:1 and Book1:2. Lay them out onscreen as you wish.

This is the Windows > New Window option, BTW.

You can open a second window, and then do Window, Arrange, Vertical
