    Smile How to use the Hlook up function.

    Hi all,

    Anyone can help me understand the hlookup function? Im using it, trying to understand the function but it always give me a #N/A result.

    Have you read the help files? There must be an exact match or you will get that error.

    e.g.

    =Hlookup(A1,X1:Y3,3,False)

    this will look up the item you have in A1 and try to find it in X1:Y1. If it finds an exact match, it will extract the item from row 3 in the range, X1:Y3 (or X3:Y3)
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
