Pull data from another sheet

I am fairly new to Excel except for really basic features, so I'm not really sure where to post this question. I beg pardon if this is the wrong place.

Here's what I'm trying to do. (Please reference attachments.)

Sheet 1 is an example of my active sheet. The data in the Number column will change on a cyclical basis, and I would like for the corresponding data in the Short Description and Long Description column to change when I type in the Number column. Sheet 2 is an example of a catalog or index sheet. I'll have a list of Numbers with their Short Descriptions and Long Descriptions. So, if I type 1234567 into the Number column on Sheet 1, I want it to pull the Short and Long Descriptions corresponding to 1234567 from Sheet 2 and input them into those columns on Sheet 1.

I hope that makes sense. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
