Compare data in two different file's

Hi would any one be able to help me i need to compare the data in two different excel files and ask if the data in column A that contains a registration number is the same in both and if not to flag up any that are missing

Is there a macro or command I could use that will do this

To mark the numbers that are missing in the second sheet as Unique, please use this formula

Sheet2 is the name of the sheet on which the 2nd column is located, and $A$1:$A$10000 are the addresses of the first and last cells of that 2nd column.

Insert the formula in the 1st cell of the 1st empty column in Sheet1 and then copy/paste it to another rows.
