    Rotate a chart

So I'm taking an online class and the teacher assigns boat loads of homework and this week I'm stuck on a problem. I've tried googling it and using the help but I can't find a solution. We are working with templates and multiple sheets and workbooks. On this particular lab I had to add a clustered cone chart to the project. No problem. I moved it to another sheet and changed the colors and such but here is the problem.. The cones are going up and down and the lab shows the chart as horizontal, in essence rotating it a half turn. Where do I do this? Right now the money amounts are on the left side vertically and the cities are on the bottom of the cones horizontally. I need the cities on the left, the money going across in the bottom and the cones going horizontally. any help will be tremendous!! Thanks!

    Re: Rotate a chart

    hello cj,

I think you're looking at a column chart, where the data is represented by vertical columns. You probably want a bar chart instead. Click the chart, then Design on the Chart Tools and then Change Chart Type on the left of the ribbon. Then select one of the bar chart types.

Wow I feel really stupid. Thanks though. I'm just having a tough time of it. Long story short..I lost my job last year and decided to go back to school after 30 some years. This term I'm taking five classes two of which are science and this computer class is monopolizing my time!! I will come here from now on since you helped me immediately and very quickly. Thanks again!!
