Cool New user to Excel - needs to learn fast! - copy data from one workbook to another?

Morning / Afternoon / Evening all

Names Kev - Been using MS office for years, simple spreadsheets and the like but, need to learn the VBA side of excel (and pretty quickly too!)

Its for work / personal gain really, and im enjoying figuring it out as much as possible myself. Im an IT tech by trade, so am learning things quickly (i think!)

So far, all i have had to go on is some un commented code that I have had to figure out. Somethings i understand, others not so much.

Ok.. apologies for jumping straight into a question, but here's to hoping someone can help.

I basically have 2 workbooks. I have a set of data i need to copy from one cell range in workbook A to another cell range in workbook B. I have 2 sets of data to copy over. the 1st set is simple, as the cell references never change. Set of data 2 however, aint so simple.

Row 1 contains data, with the word TRUE if the column has been completed, and FALSE if the column is blank (basically, figures get inserted on a daily basis).

I need to copy that data on a daily basis, into workbook B. I need someway to tell excel that the row to use is the one with FALSE in it, but -1.

    Any ideas

    Thanks!

    Kev

Re: New user to Excel - needs to learn fast!

Welcome to the Forum. However, per the Forum Rules, please amend your thread title to something that reflects your need - see below, Rule #1.

    1. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

Re: New user to Excel - needs to learn fast! - Question also on VBA code...

    have edited the title.
Yes - but it's still not what is needed. Think "Search Firendly" - thread titles are used to return relevant search results, thus the accuracy of the title impacts the search. If you were searching for help woudl your thread, as it stands now, return a relevant result? The answer is obvious.

Suggested title: copy data from one workbook to another
