    Question IF conditions/formulas

    Could someone please tell me how would I write the formula to calculate the sum (column B) of all the like invoice #'s (column A)

    inv # price part
    236 1.5 3200000
    456 1.33 2589666
    456 2 42500000
    456 4 256987
    123456 1.25 456985214
    123456 1.88 247888

    The formula would be:

    To get a unique list of invoices go to Data/Filter>Advanced Filter... Highlight the A column (or the Invoice numbers). Choose Copy to another location and check the Unique values only. Adjust the above formula to accomodate the new range. If the new list is in the D column the formula would be:

    To add totals in-line you can use one of the following.
    If you want the total to display in the same row as the last invoice with the same number use:
