Hi Esa, welcome to the forum.

Are you saying that you currently have numbers down the left hand side and across the top, i.e. "R1C1" reference style?

In Excel 2003 you can change that to A1 style (numbers down left, letters across the top) in Tools -> Options -> General -> un-check R1C1 reference style.

In Excel 2007 click the Office button (top left) -> Excel Options -> Formulas -> un-check R1C1 reference style.

My version is in Hebrew. When I Right click the Office Mark (which is in the upper right corner) I get the New, Open, Save, Save As, Print, Prepare, Send, Publish, Close. Is this the list you refer to ?

Below and to the right of "Close" in that list you should see a button labeled 'Excel Options'. Click that, then click 'Formulas' and you'll see 'R1C1 reference style' in the right-hand window. Un-check that.

Esa, you just registered and were asked to provide your Excel version. Why did you specify 2003 if you are using 2007?
