    Date "shortcut"

Students must sign into a book each day and I have to document that date and submit a report every week so they may receive their credit.

I have set up a column that represents each day of the month. Is there a formula where i can type 1 key, such as the letter "s", and the date on the heading will appear in the cell? I need the date for my sort but 200+ names a day is a little much for typing date.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi,

Is the attached the sort of thing you want. I've only put in a sample of days and students but no doubt you can extend as relevant. The date gets entered in the appropriate column immediately you click the student's name. The following macro drives this.
