    Question Formula for Conditional Formatting

    Hello again,

    Not sure if this is feasible, but here is what I want to do.
    Cell B is conditionally formatted to turn red when the date in the cell is two days ahead, otherwise it is green (thanks to help on an earlier thread!). When there is text in cell F, I want cell B to turn black.

    Can I do this?

    Thanks again!

    Re: Formula for Conditional Formating

    Start with the cell being green since that's the default.
    When you say the cell is 2 days ahead, that means it is within 2 days? (i.e. today is May 27th, if the cell is for May 29th, it turns red)? Do you want it to stay red at 1 day, 0 days, -4 days?
    If so, using Conditional Format>Formula
    =(B-TODAY())<=2
    For condition 2 (Or Condition 1 depending on your priorities)
    =ISTEXT(F)
    Does that work for you?

    Re: Formula for Conditional Formatting

    Thanks for the help!

    I tried the =ISTEXT(F) but it didn't recognize. When I entered text in cell F, cell B remained as is. Am I doing something incorrectly?

    Thanks!

    Re: Formula for Conditional Formatting

    Replace the "F" with an actual cell reference... e.g. F1 or F2.
