Copying cells according to adjacent column

    Hi everyone..

I moved this from the 'advanced section' to here, hope you guys can help!!!

At my job I'm constantly double-clicking in the lower right corner of a cell. Doing so copies the formula from the cell that I'm in for the remainder of the column - to the end of the adjacent left column. It saves me the time to hold the mouse buttom and copying cells to the buttom. Very practical!! However I wonder whether there is a keyboard shortcut for this, so that I can get rid of using the mouse?

    Does anyone know?!?

    I will be eternally grateful

I use this method alot. Not quite sure whether there is a keyboard shortcut, but i do it like this:

I click on the cell that I want to copy. Press Ctrl+C, and then hold Shift, press the down arrow key, and then press Ctrl+V.

Or if it is at the time of entering the formula. I select the range where I want the formulas, type in the formula on the current cell and then instead of just pressing enter I press Ctrl+Enter.

Maybe you'll get other suggestions. But this saves me a lot of time.

I do something similar to Ron.
I will select the cell and hold the shift down while I either use the down arrow or the Page Down key (depending on how far I have to go).
Page Up or Up Arrow if you go too far.

Then CNTRL D to copy down.

Re: Copying cells according to adjacent column

    Hi,

this helps! Thank you! However I wonder whether anyone knows if it is possible to jump down to the end of the adjacent column. Pressing Shift + Page Down takes me to long to go to the end of the column to the left. If I use Shift + End + Down then I jump to far... I need something in between?

    Anyone?

There is not. You could start at the bottom and go up.
If your new formula is in Column C, go to B, CNTRL Down, then go over to C and
    CNTRL SHIFT UP

When I'm working within a "Blank" table a lot, I'll go to the bottom row (ie. 5000) and put . in each cell, then when I do a SHIFT CNTRL DOWN, it stops where I want to. A little forethought goes a long way.
