How to copy cells to a filtered table?

    Hi All,

I am unable to arrive at a solution for this problem.

I have to copy cells from 1 sheet to a table in another sheet where the data is filtered.
I want the copied data in only those cells that are visible after filter.
Though I have seen similar posts submitted earlier, I have not found a solution yet.
I have attached a sample file for reference. The original data is in seperate files and has hundreds of rows & columns. Lookups are not an option for me.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Regards,

    Hi Pike,

Thanks for your prompt reply. But pardon my ignorance. Can you tell me how to use this code.

I would love to know the answer to this as well, as it stands I have to paste each cell, or risk overwriting data.

Re: How to copy cells to a filtered table?

    Thanks Pike,

That code works fine on the sample file.
However my actual data works on a bit more complex environment.
    1. Data to be copied is on n different sheets (actually even on different files- copy file different & paste file different).
    2. Range of cells to be copied differs - In some cases 10 cells are to be copied, some 20 some 100.
    3. The row numbers also differ.

What i really want Pike is a function that could work like a normal copy paste - only uniqueness is that I want the paste function to work only on the visible cells when I filter data. While I have an option to copy visible cells, I do not know of anything that would paste to only visible cells.

Hope you can still arrive at some solution.
    Thanks again,
    Joshuar

Re: How to copy cells to a filtered table?

chip pearson has some code somewhere on his site but I do not think it will work for all thoses new conditions

    short answer, no.

Copying the filtered range(s) to other filter range(s) allways encurs and error.
Have to do it row by row cell buy cell.

Re: How to copy cells to a filtered table?

    Hi Pike,
    Have been thinking about this?
Wonder if we still have a solution.
All I actually need to do on the file is to create a dummy worksheet and everytime I want to copy some cells to the filtered table, just to paste it initially on the dummy worksheet.
After which to run the code.
As the data is now on a specified row, the code should work (or so I guess).
I tried to change the cell range on the code, but it would not work.
Hope u can give it a try.

    Regards,
    Joshuar

    Hi joshuar
Anything is Probable. Do you have an example zipped or small workbook you can attach?
