    conditional formatting text color

    I am not sure if this can be done, but I am trying to format the color of text in a cell if there is a number other than zero in another cell.

    Example: If there is a one in cell A1 I want the text in cell B1 to be black. If there is a zero in cell A1 I want the text in B1 to be transparent. I hope this makes sense.

    In B1 go to Home tab.. and select Conditional Formatting|New Rule

    Select use formula to determine which cells to format

    and enter formula =A1=0 and then click Format and choose the colour that matches your cell background.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: conditional formatting text color

    Thanks for your quick response. Now that you helped me with that it brought up another question. Is it also possible to have another condition? I would like for the text to turn a third color if there is a one in another cell.
    example. If A1 has a zero in it the text in B1 will be blue, if A1 has a 1 or more in it the text in B1 will be black, but if A1 has a zero in it and C1 has a 1 in it B1 will be transparent.
    I hope I am still making sense
    Thank you

    Conditions:

    1. =AND(A1=0,C1=1) ... select transparent (match background colour) from Format

    2. =A1=0 ... select Blue

    Re: conditional formatting text color

    How can I highlight a cell if there is a value greater than zero in any of the cells in column B? I know how to do it if there is a value greater than zero in one cell but am not sure how to do it with multiple cells. Thanks in advance
