    Making Reports

I have several groups that input information into several work books. We have several customers that like to look at the info in the work books. But we would like them to only see what applies to them.

For example in work book one (wb1) company a (Comp A) wants to see sheet 1 in wb2 and wb3 they would like to see sheet 3 in each. Comp B would like to see wb1 sheet 2 and wb3 sheet 4. Could I make a Comp A report work book and a Comp B report work book that contained living copies of the original sheets. So that when we make changes in a work book the report work book reflects the same changes.

You would most likely need a shared server to store the file on in order for it to update when you make changes. If you send things via email/FTP/ or most any time of file upload, you are only sending a copy of the file in that moment. I know where I work, we have a sign-in sheet that is shared between about 6 people and they are all able to make changes on it at the same time and when the data is refreshed, everyone's data is available for everyone else to see.

We got sharepoint at work where this is easily done. I'm not quite sure on your situation how your clients look at the workbooks externally, and how you guys update the workbooks internally (whether you guys send them or what). But to me, the easiest way would maybe be to just create a new Sheet for each client that you have, reference the cells in that sheet to the specific data you require in the workbook. When the client needs the data open up the workbook, navigate yourself to the client worksheet and copy the data.
