Can I Fix view on column?

(I've got excel 2007)

My table is HUGE. Most of it is dates and numbers.
Can I fix a single column or row to be view able at all times, while I scroll around the rest of the document?
The table is so big Lose track of title location, and where exactly my next input has to go...

On a side note, can I also rearrange a specific row or column by alphabetic order of each cell contents ?
