"End" and down arrow on my Keyboard not giving me relative option

I have a small problem and hope someone can help me. When designing one of my first macros, I have been told to use relative values. I understand how to apply this. The problem is that my laptop keyboard insists on jumping to the bottom of the page shown and not the end of the list shown when I simultaneously hit the End and down arrow buttons.

Obviously, this is causing a problem with Macros programming. Instead of nice, compact list, I get multiple blank rows.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can change this?

(Also, my control+home option seems off. It takes me to sheet 1, A1, no matter what sheet I'm on. Always.)

Thank you so much, and I'm glad to have found all of you. This is a wonderful forum.

I guess you are using ctrl+pgUp key instead of ctrl+Fn+PgUp(Home) [Assuming your keyboard is designed in this fashion]. Function of ctrl+pgUp is to take you to previous sheet..

In your keyboard I guess you are missing to hot "Fn" key, not a issue in Excel...

Re: "End" and down arrow on my Keyboard not giving me relative option

Well, in our excel books I am told to use ctrl + home to get to A1, and that is what I use. In our books, I am told to use ctrl + the down arrow, and that is what I press. However, this last function does not take me to the next open row, it takes me to a row that is at the way bottom of the page, regardless of the rows above it.

Does this make it more clear? I need to understand what to do with my keyboard so that my macros transfer data is functional without a google of empty rows in between each entry.

    Thanks for your reply.
