    percentage of a particular number?

    Hi

We have done a questionnaire where people have chosen a particular feedback

I am trying to work out the percentage of feedback per answer

so for example 19 people said very good out of 23 i would like the percentage. The columns show each type of feedback and i need to add those and have the percentage total below

please see attachment to see what i mean. Not sure what i need to do to get the total percentage per column for the type of feedback

    thanks

    In B12 and copy across,

    =SUM(B5:B10)/SUM($B$5:$F$10)
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

I'm thinking your setup is ok but your totals column for the % is misleading, You should be totalling your Sum of column B divided by (5*23) because the 23 responses are to each question so each should have their own percent sum. To break down correctly each question, then your percent totals should run alongside your table, ie B5/23 dragged across will give you individual response %

I don't know how to post an image, but the correct answer to cleanliness of caravan should be 82.61% 13.04% 4.35% 0.00% 0.00%

And the total for the V.Good column on the first table should be V.Good
    19
    10
    15
    11
    9
    11
    65.22%
