How to I delete an empty column?

I shifted around some data and now have an empty column in the middle of my spreadsheet, how do I delete this column?

Right click on the column header and choose "Delete"

I am on a Mac and when I control click (same as right click) on the column header I get options, but delete is not one of them. Any other way?

Sorry, never worked on a Mac but my understanding (after a quick search) is that there should be a Delete option on right click.

    Is there protection applied?
