I have been working with with excel and always seem to run across the same proble I have not been able to find a formula to work. Some sheets could have up to 5000 rows and 15 columns so copy & paste is just too much. Heres what I have:
I exported a item price list from an estimating program and what it does is give me 11 columns and 18,000+ rows. For instance my columns are "description", "UOM", "retail $", "target $", "item#", etc etc
Heres my problem example:
DESCRIPTION UOM RETAIL$ TARGET$ ITEM# CATEGORY
Line 1 Adhesive
Line 2 PVC Glue 1234
Line 3 Each $3.18 $2.29
Line 4
Line 5
Basically I have 1 item under description but my other columns dont land on the same line as description so I have no way to sort by description and get the correct price or other column info. I have attached a example file.
