Subtract columns

Hi,
I'm a newbie to excel. How do you subtract column C from column D with the solution in column E? I have about 22 lines like this and would like to do this in one step.

You can try in E1 =D1-C1 and when you see black little cross in right bottom corner of that call grab it and pull down
