    Lightbulb Reducing file size

    Hi,

I wonder if you can help me - the database I am working on used to contain a large amount of data in a Text format, which needed to be converted into a Number format to apply new functions.

    No macros involved

I.e. my standard cells were :
"£25k+", "CHF 20 - 30" and "£35 - 55k" which I decomposed in five different columns to be able to use the numeric figures for e.g. graphs or currency conversion

The last example would become :
    A1 Currency : £
    B1 Amount1 : 35
    C1 Unit1 : [N/A]
    D1 Amount2 : 55
    E1 Unit2 : k

    Example is in link.

The formatting (rather than the actual presence of 4 extra columns of data - I tried copy pasting random columns) boosts my file size.

As the data will be used for an application, each Mb counts and the smaller the better.
As you can see from the upload, even an easy copy-paste boosts the file.

Any suggestions on how to reduce the size as much as possible?

    Thanks a lot!

    Daniel
