Excel 2003 ''Paste Link'' option unavailable

I have 2 worksheets open and tiled vertically, and am simply trying to paste links between the 2. I copy the source cell in one, then select the target cell in the other, but when I pull up the Paste Special box, the Paste Link option is grayed out. What simple step am I overlooking? I have 333 links to create between these 2 sheets, and several other sheets yet to be created and linked, so any tips or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi NovDoingAdv and welcome to the forum,

    Does this help?

    Tools Options?
You need to select some radio buttons before the Link button becomes active?

I.ve been on MS's site since last night.I've spent HOURS trying to find this, I'd thought it was something common. I've opened Tools,Options several times to see what I'd missed.Went to Folder Options on My Computer.I have a Que book I've flipped back and forth through. Don't know where else I can look for answers. I should have mentioned that I do have All selected on Paste Special.

Re: Excel 2003 ''Paste Link'' option unavailable

    Hi,
I can't test it as I'm using 2010 Excel. I just looked at the help file about Paste link and it gave me this information from the help file.

Note Depending on the type of data that you copy and the Paste options that you select, specific options might be unavailable.

7.If you want to link the pasted data to the original data, click Paste Link.
When you paste a link to the data that you copied, Excel enters an absolute reference to the copied cell or range of cells in the new location.

Note Paste Link is available only when you select All or All except borders under Paste in the Paste Special dialog box.
    I hope this helps.
