    Pivot-automatic sum on values

I use Pivot and values automatically go to "count" instead of "sum". Is it possible to automatically set it to go to "sum"?

    Thank you

    Hi,
It will automatically go to sum if all the data in the column you drag down to the summation area are values. If the Pivot Table finds a single blank or non numeric data it defaults to count. This has been my experience but read the following article.

One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Thank you so much for your response Marvin. I don't remember if there is a blank but I am sure they are all numeric data. I will surely read the link you included.
    Best regards
