    Re: IFSUM issues

What version of Excel are you trying to apply this to?

The formula is supposed to look for the word Books in E11:E38 according to your formula, yet there is no such item in column E? What really is the formula supposed to do for you?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

if you look at the adjacent column there is a drop down which you can choose from categories, when i choose the categories of Books it dosn't do any thing

    thanks for your response

    Re: IFSUM issues

SUMIFS doesn't work in XL 2003... it is new as of XL2007.

You need SUMIF... but the arguments will have to be re-arranged. Also, the data range seems to start at row 10, not row 11.

So try, for example in I8: =SUMIF(G10:G38,"Books",E10:E38)

    adjust other formulas similarly.
