Unable to sort in xl 2003

    Hi
I have an xl 2003 workbook with two spreadsheets.
One sheet contains all input data for competition details and the other sheet is linked to show top ten results with four columns>>>>>>
competition place. Name. Total score. Number of Wins.

Now I have a duplicate score I wish to solve>>>>>>
two players have same score but one of them has WON two games and the other has only won one game, my current formulae puts the player with one win yet I require the player with two wins to be the higher placed in my top ten places.
I have tried all the sorting options I know, but failed to place the player with Two wins above the player with One win (same total tho')......incl. Sort by Descending order etc.

Sorry if I have not fully explained my problem but I will try to answer where I can.

    Regards

How are you pulling the top 10 into the other sheet? Is that a manual effort from sorting, cutting, and copying, or are you using indexing functions?

It would be easier to assist if you could post an example workbook. Of course, any data that is confidential or personal should be removed prior to uploading.

if you highlight the entire area (all 4 columns), click on Sort (not the ascending/descending buttons with the arrows) but the actual Sort button

there you can sort first by the score, then click "add level", and then you can sort by number of games won

idk how to help with the formula, but maybe this helps spark an idea

    Hi

Cannot see here where to place attachments, unless I have an email address?

    HI akeiser88

Thanks for your interest and I replied, but I may add I am confused as to the "actual sort BUTTON" you refer to in my 2003 version......I will try anything.

    regards
