Extend information between worksheets.

Hi. I'm a bit new at Excel and need a bit of help.

Im trying to do a workbook to enter my working hours in.
I want the first sheet to be named "Week01" and on row 1 colum A I want it to say Monday, colum B Tuesday and so on. And thats no problem.
On row 2 colum B I want it to say the date, for example 2012-01-02 and so on. And this also works fine.
But then I want to copy this sheet for the whole year (from the first sheet named "Week012 to the last sheet named "Week52") and this is where I get stuck. What Im looking for is sort of a fill-function for the sheets. So I can extend the dates like I do on a single sheet.

At the moment I need to make a copy of the sheet I'm on, rename it, and retype the date. I guess there is a much better way to do it.

Im thankfull for all the help I can get. And if I was unclear please say so and I will try to explain my problem again.

Hi,

Have you considered keeping all your data on one worksheet?

It's good practise if you are recording the same type of data rather than splitting it across multiple sheets and you can just have an extra column to show the week number. Doing this will mean it will be much easier to do any analysis rather than having to query multiple sheets.

Yes that is one idea... But Im in many projects each week, and therefor I need to debit time on diffrent places and by the end of the yer its gonna ba a really big sheet. I think its better to have it on a week basis. But then again, I might be wrong.

You've got a lot of room on a sheet with Excel 2007 so nothing wrong with using it. You can use Autofilter to just display information on specific periods of time to make it easier to view.

Okay. Thanks for the input I will probably do it on one sheet.
But my question still remains. Do you, or anyone else, have tha answer to it?

There is no built in function that will do what you want, it would need to be VBA code to create the sheets on the fly and populate the date as required.
