    Getting correct Paste Special settings

I am using Paste Special (Excel 2003) to transfer copied information in one row (in sheet 1) to a box in sheet 2.
The new box has centering format for all vertical cells. One of the cells in sheet 1 contains a chemical formula with subscripts. I've tried many different settings in the Paste Special window (always including transpose), but I cannot ever get a data transfer that includes both the centering and the subscripting for the chemical formula. It is always one or the other.
Is there a combination of settings that will work. (I know that I can used the formatting brush to correct the problem after the paste if all else fails).
It would be nice if I didn't have to enter the options every time I open the Paste Special window. Any ideas here would also be great.

    Thx,

    John
