Help: IF Nested condition based on Date to determine Status

I have been struggling to create a nested formula for my worksheet based on the following business rules (conditions):

IF Assessment Date falls within 10 days, the status (cell) shows "yellow",
If assessment date falls within 11-25, the status cell shows "Red",
and anything after 25 days, the cells shows "green"

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you trying to set the colour of a cell according to its contents, or is the status cell different to the cell containing the assessment date?

Assuming you are trying to colour the cells with assessment dates according to their content, the easiest way is to use conditional formatting.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply NickyC. Sorry I should have mentioned that in the thread, it was not conditional formatting that I was looking for but a nested condition (when true) to return - "Red", "Green" and "Yellow" as text.
