Partial matching two columns of data?

I'm working with 2 columns of data, the first column will always be the same and the second column will always be different. I'm trying to get the third column to partial match (6 characters) column 2 to the column 1 data. I can get it to work if there's exact matches in column 2 but not for partials

It's close, but column D is the ideal answer. In your example it didn't match up the ddd.com to it's correspondent in column A. I'm really stumped with this one and not sure it's possible.
