Automatic update of Excel file

Hi

I have worksheet 1 and worksheet 2 which are shared with users.I would like to know it if there is a possibility to have worksheet 3 automatically updated with same data whenever a user input data in worksheet 1 or 2.

Yes.

1. Open all workbooks.
2. go to workbook 3 (presumably blank sheet) and go to cell A1 on sheet1
3. press the = button, then navagate to workbook1 cell A1, select and press enter. This will build a live link between cells A1 in both books.
4. in worksheet 3, remove the "$" from the cell reference. ie change $A$1 to be A1. Then copy the formula down and across into workbook 3. This will make a copy of workbook 1 in worbook3.
repeat for the other workbook

I had tried doing this and it wasn't working, but I just realised that I had the workbooks open in two instances of excel (ie. I opened excel twice then opened the file in each instance), when I actually needed to open them both in the same instance of excel.

However I didn't know to remove the $, so you have been a great help, thank you.
