Building a search tool

Hello,

i need to build a search engine that can pull data from three separate spreadsheet (paperwork, C&Q, LDC) based on date parameters people can place in the box. i have no clue how to do this

If any one can help, or point me in the write direction it would be appreciated.

Hi Chris,

Could you give us a little more information please?

Will the sheet the data is taken from be affected by the dates?
i.e. if the date was in June it would look at the paperwork worksheet but if in July it would look at the LDC worksheet?

Hi Spencer101,

All 3 spreadsheets (paperwork, C&Q, LDC) when i move the data across willl have data from 01/01-31/12/12. i want the search tool to be able to pull data in a set period so i can review trends etc.

Exactly what data are you looking to pull in and where is it to go?

Could you fill out some demonstration data on the "search tool" worksheet and highlight on the other three sheets where the data was pulled from?

That will help find out exactly what it is you need done.
