    Email Atachments

    Hi Everyone.

A while ago I had a problem solved regarding emailing a form using script?

I have a problem along the same lines but with a slight difference. I would like to use a cell on my spreadsheet to attach an excel form (Double Click Here to Attach Customer Returns Form To Email) I have copied the the script from my previous sheet but unfortunately it does not work.

It is adding "Double Click Here to Attach Customer Returns Form To Email" in the adress line and not adding the attachment.

I would also like to add if possible "Customer Returns Form" in the subject line.

am i right in thinking that this would need to be saved as an outlook template first? If so i would need it so anyone within the busines can access it and use with their own email account (template will show my signature) is this possible please.

Come on guys dont let me down here!! you havent so far

    Thanks in advance Phil

    Re: Email Atachments

Target.Value is the content of the cell that you have double clicked. That's why you're seeing "Double Click Here to Attach Customer Returns Form To Email" in the adress line.

Have a look at Ron de Bruin's web site for all you need regarding email from Excel VBA: http://www.rondebruin.nl/

    Re: Email Atachments

Ok a bit of success with TMS above.

If i run the macro from within the log workbook it will open my email message with the correct subject line heading but the attachment is the workbook i am using not the the seperate form i wish to add.

and again this only works if i physically run the macro which i do not want others to do. I want a simple button they press on the log workbook

I hope i am making myself clear!!!

    Further Update

i have managed to get the correct attachment to work but the VBA code requests that i have an email adress in the "TO" line or it will not open. i want it to open regardless without a name.

also still not solved the running of the macro

    Thanks Phil

Might be worth uploading the sample workbooks and current code so everyone is on the same page.
