Excel 2010: How to move the Paste Options (Ctrl) pop-up box?

When I copy a cell with CTRL-C and paste elsewhere, a small clipboard pop-up appears to give paste options. The pop-up is the size of an average 'starter' cell. I find it a nuisance as it always covers a cell I might want to paste into, but I cannot see that cell anymore because of the pop-up.
How can I get rid of the pop-up?

    Hi Empsall,

Your profile says you're using Excel 2003, so you may want to update that to 2010 if that is your primary version. In 2007 you would do the following (I assume it is very similar in 2010):

Click the Office button (upper-left corner) > Excel Options > Advanced. In the 'Cut, Copy, and paste' section un-check 'Show Paste Options buttons'. Click OK.

Hopefully that takes care of it!

Problem SOLVED and thank goodness!! One of my greatest Excel finds yet. I cannot possible measure how much time I've wasted getting rid of that stupid popup. How unnerving. Thank you!!

This still works in Excel Office 365 (the date is 30 October, 2019).
Go to File => Options => Advanced
Then scroll down to "Cut, Copy, and Paste" and unmark the box next to "Show Paste Options button when content is pasted".
Then click "Ok" button in bottom right of window.
