Trouble with duplicacy

HI,

I am facing a problem in the data: i have to sort the Data wrt to column named Document No. However there are multipile entries of many document Nos, even thout the submission date and other columns are same. i want to get rid of the Duplicacy and get data wrtto the Document No. Please help. stuck with this for last 2 days.

So you need to remove the duplicate values? Are these only numbers?

In the top of the page, you will see "Forum". Click on it. Then you'll see some Gategories. You'll see, "Excel General". SubForums: Excel New Users. Click on it...

It's OK to carry on I think. The thread has been moved to sub Forum - New users.

It's difficult to work with what you have sent especially as the data is misaligned when it comes to the Document number column. Only you can see the real thing but have you tried the "Remove Duplicates" function? Find it in the ribbon under Data tab < Data Tools. I'm sure you will have but it really would help if you could at least put the data into the original format and we can help you further.

Thanks Russell. The "remove duplicates" worked for me.
