Even after I hit enter it stays like this. It's been doing the same thing with other formulas as well. Any ideas what's causing it? Trying to use RANDBETWEEN to generate 9 digit number randomly.

Probably. Check in your formulas tab that Show Formulas is not highlighted. If it is, turn it off.

Still having his problem, and it's doing it with other formulas as well. Show formulas isn't highlighted either. I've never had this problem so I think it's this spreadsheet they gave me perhaps? No idea what the heck would be causing this.
Are the cells formatted as Text?

Do you have Calculation set to Automatic? (Formulas - Calculation options - Automatic)
Are the cells holding the formulas formatted as Text? Switch to General (or something else)
