    help with conditional formatting

    hi i am new to this site, i am looking for some help with conditional formatting etc. i have vehicles that require services and tests, i want the cell for the particular service to change red when overdue, orange when due within 30days and blank when no data is entered. i would also like a entry at the bottom to count how many are overdue and how many are due.
    this is an example of the info i am using
    any help would be much appreciated

    Perhaps no one responded because you didn't include a workbook. Put the above data in a workbook and attach it to the message

    hi i have allready got the formula for overdue and due within 30days, i would like a formula so that when no data is entered it is blank (no fill). i would also like to know the formula to tally up each red cell at the bottom of each column and same for due in next 30 days.

    Hello
    In my example file the formatting does remain blank if no dates are entered. Without VBA you cannot count cells by colour, but you can count the dates within specified criteria. For the counts you're looking for try the following formulas:

    For Red dates:

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    and for Orange dates:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    Both copied across.
