Only Add numbers in text string

    Hi Forum,

    I feel this should be a simple task. I have in mixed text and numerals in column c2:c6 i.e A1 B6 k7 T8 z2 y4

what I want is to see a total in c7 of 1+6+7+8+2+4=28

I want the to addition of the numbers but ignoring the single text prefixes.

    Any Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Maxim

Ignoring the fact that you have more values (6) than rows (5) C2:C6

    Try this:

    =right(c2,1)+right(c3,1)+right(c4,1)+right(c5,1)+right(c6,1)

If it is only one letter in front... try:

    =SUMPRODUCT(--MID($C$1:$C$6,2,10))
Where there is a will there are many ways.
