    Percentage % question

I'm wanting to include percentages on a spreadsheet but don't know how to.

As an example, I have figures for the same four months over two years.

I want a formula which shows percentage increase/decrease for corresponding months. If the current month is less than the previous year - ie March, then the cell would be highlighted red.

Thanks for any advice on how to do this.

    Hi Kuler,

    Welcome to the forum.

Based on your picture, try using below conditional formatting logic in e5 and drag right / left side (or copy - paste special formats to right / left side)

    =E4<E3
and choose format as Red fill

    Re: Percentage % question

=(C4-C3)/C3 formatted as a percentage. Drag across.

Use CF to colour the cell if negative.
