Unhappy Design - Table style only coloring in the header and first row - how to get it to apply to

    HI,

I inherited a datasheet that needs the standard color table style we use, but it only effects the header row and the first column. When I roll over the color stripe choices, just these two rows change. I tried select all, I tired just selecting some rows, but it doesn't color them in.

I know this is totally a newbie question and REALLY appreicate that I get answers from ya'll!

    Thanks SO much!

    Kathleen

hi Kathleen. just a wild guess. try to select the rest of the table & select "No Fill". when you fill a colour to the table, it supersedes the table style. if it doesn't work, try uploading for us to see. Press "Go Advanced" beside the "Post Quick Reply" button & click on the paperclip icon

Yes, I tried that too. That did not "uncolor" the first row. I've attached it...thanks again!!

Only the first 2 rows are a table.
If you select cell A1 you should see the Table Tools contextual tab appear in the ribbon.

If you move done to A3 it goes.

On the Table Tools > Properties group is the option to resize table.

The range you want the table to reference, which I assume is =$A$1:$AV$79
