    Vlookup and trim

    Dear All,

    I have some problem with vlookup function. In my file if I am using vlookup function it works fine other that this value - "066741DET-2"

    The syntax :VLOOKUP(A465,Range_Report!A465:C3734,3,0)

    Can anyone help with this.

    the formula is correct so whats the problem? how can anyone help without seeing the data

    formula in c470 is =VLOOKUP(B470,Range_Report!A469:N3740,3,FALSE) this is because to haven't made
    =VLOOKUP(B2,Range_Report!A1:N3272,3,FALSE) in d2 absolute ,to stop the range changing as its filled down .
    D2 needs to be
    =VLOOKUP(B2,Range_Report!$A$1:$N$3272,3,FALSE)
    read about absolute and relative referencing here
