how do i display specific text in a new cell after selecting from a drop down menu

I have spent several months comiling a construction risk assessment in excel format. to date i have created a list of hazards on sheet two and included these in a drop down list in sheet one. I now wish to create a list of control measures in sheet 2 which correspond with each hazard in the list on sheet one and the control measure displayed in a specific cell in sheet one. Is this possible if so can anyone assist. ( i will add that up until i began this project i knew nothing at all about excel so if possible can you provide an idiot proof answer).

Not sure, but maybe this is what you're looking for?
When you select a hazard thru the dropdownlist in sheet1 it automatically attaches a control measure which is in the table on sheet2.
Downside of this is that you can only attach one control measure to a hazard.
