    Calculating daily time absence of multiple users, based on 8 hour schedule.

    Hello everybody,

    I have the following table, always sorted by user name.
    I want to calculate the absense of each user daily.
    Counting starts from the first check in (last check out not required).
    There is no need to record time presence above 8 hours.
    Any way of making cells>8 hours vanish-invisible-blank-white?
    Any recommandations-different approach?

    Nicely done, but you placed check-in, check-out times horizontally while my file have them vertically.
    I don't know how to make it work/make the switch.

    We can place them vertically as well.. but that will not good.. why don't you use pivot table.. see attached. thanks.

    I think i 'll stay with your first example,which already solves my problem.
    I am going to read about pivot tables now...
