Keeping the first column on the screen?

    Hi all,
Is it possible to keep the first column on the screen while, I scroll across to add to my spreadsheet?

I run a competition on another Forum, and I'd really appreciate any help with this, it's probably a very simple thing to do?

    Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can drag the little rectangle immediately right of the scroll right arrowhead, leftwards. It drags a border - stop when the border is against the 1st column. Freeze panes to make it stick.
