i tried with =B1-A1
i tried with =TEXT(B1-A1,"h:mm:ss") but am getting #VALUE!

Looking at the above you are subtracting 06:12 from 06:10 as both dates are the same which would give you a negative value. I have never used 2003 so I dont know what capabilites you have. Try posting a sample. The cell you have the formula in have you changed that from general to time.

Format the cells with custom and a Type of dd/mm/yy - hh:mm:ss. Then use B1-A1.

No luck! still getting #VALUE! even after changing the format of the cell...
oopss sorry typo error i just wanna subtract...
EX: 27/10/12 06:10:00 subtract 27/10/12 06:12:00 = answer i want 00:02:00
