Conditional Formatting to turn Cell red in 12 months

Hello everyone. I am in need of help with excel and dates. I have doc that has dates of items taken in the last few months that i would like to project in red 12 months out as due. I have looked in a lot of places and did my own research but still am at odds with excel. Please can anyone help? H3 has a date of 12/10/12. I would like to have it turn red on 12/10/13. I would also like the date to turn yellow one month prior to dec 10. Anyone, please help.

without a sample workbook to see, try this...
1. highlight the range you want to conditional format (CF)
2. select CF from the home tab/styles
3. select new rule
4. select use formula
5. enter =H3=DATE(13,12,10) and format as yellow
6. format fill as red.
repeat 3-6, but change the formula to =H3=DATE(13,11,10)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
