My comment boxes occasionally collapse [all boxes at the same time]. I restore them one at a time using the 'edit comment' option - I can find no other way to do so.
Is there a way to prevent the collapsing, or at least to restore them all at once?

I use a macro to fix comments:
It positions each comment to the right and below the holding cell. It also adjusts the comment shape. Please Login or Register to view this content.
Macros are very easy to install and use:
1. ALT-F11 brings up the VBE window
2. ALT-IALT-M opens a fresh module3. paste the stuff in and close the VBE window
If you save the workbook, the macro will be saved with it.
To remove the macro:
1. bring up the VBE window as above
2. clear the code out
3. close the VBE window
To use the macro from Excel:
1. ALT-F8
2. Select the macro
3. Touch RUN
To learn more about macros in general, see:

Macros must be enabled for this to work!

Wow! Thanks a bunch. I have no idea what you're doing but will try to follow the directions. Thanks for all the detail. Much appreciated.
