    Formula miscalculating.

I have a quite complex workbook, that is, in places, misbehaving. My guess is that something is haywire with its circular reference algorithm. Anyway here are two of the behaviors.

    1. A cell shows a value, which is just a copy of another cell on another sheet. For example cell E11 on one sheet is just ='Another sheet'!A27

Then I try to put that value into F11 on the same sheet. I try doing it by just putting =E11 in F11. The result is a -. I checked the formatting, painted the format from E11 on F11. No joy, except some tracing lines show up. I follow the tracing lines and they appear to show connections with cells on other sheets. However, when I double-click on those lines to be shown the cells and sheets referenced, the window that normally shows those references is blank.

I also tried putting the value I want into F11 by entering in: ='Another sheet'!A27

    Same result.

    2. Miscalculation. A simple division of the numbers in two cells. The number in the divisor cell is not zero, nor is the numerator. The result, however, IS zero. I walked through the process of evaluating the formula. It shows 5,000,00/15,000,000 in the penultimate step. Then evaluates that to 0.00. Note that the format for the number in that cell has two decimal places.

I'd VERY much appreciate learning how to fix this.

    Thanks in advance.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.
